Indie Film Press on Blogs

Check out American Messiah's latest press, on Lance Mannion's blog: Messiah on the Doorstep.

It's part one in a three-part interview/series. He'll be posting more tonight and tomorrow.

Leave comments there and here (I'd love to hear responses). I'm interested, too, in what people think about how blog-based P.R. works for indie films.

(Cross-posted on my blog).

Yes, I'm curious about blog-based PR, too. I don't think it's a PR silver bullet, but it might help the film to find a wider audience.

Chuck -- I agree that it's not a silver bullet by any means. It might help find a wider audience, but the problem seems to be: what to do about interest in the film that blog PR generates? If you're selling DVDs, then it might help you sell more. But I'm not there yet -- I'm trying to get it into festivals and maybe secure distribution of some sort (I can't afford to pursue a professionally-produced DVD run right now).

So, I'm very happy for the P.R., but I'm not sure what to do now that some more people might want to see the film...
